Mga Happenings
Dear mga anak,
At least tapos na si Flory, and let’s pray that she can wait till June for her radiation, otherwise, gastos na naman.
Inday, niece of Lety & Co., was the one who took care of Flory while in the hospital. She is still here with us and does the work of Flory while she is still indisposed. Inday has no job now. The company where she worked for many years closed shop, that is why she is now
looking for a job. Inday is very efficient. Ichay, Inday told me that she sent your office her bio data.
Thank you very much for your help in her surgery, otherwise it would be very difficult for Daddy and me. Flory took care of all of you, so we just have to help her.
Last Saturday, Gingging and I watched the concert of APO HIKING SOCIETY at the Mega Mall cinema 3. Lydia sent me 2 tickets, so panood kami ni Gingging. While we were at the concert, Daddy, Luigi and David watched the movie Fearless.
The concert was going to be the last of APO for a long time, because Jim and family left yesterday for Sydney, Australia, to migrate there. But Lydia said she and Jim will be coming back and forth. They kept their house so they still plan to come back one of these years.
Last March 3 naman, panood na naman kami ng concert ni Gingging. This time at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The concert was called the VIRTUOSOS. Twelve pianists were featured, with 12 grand pianos on the stage. For their finale they played all together Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin. Galing talaga.
Last Sunday, Daddy and I went to Matabungkay for the day. The water was warm and nice, and we enjoyed swimming. We heard mass in Tagaytay in the morning. On our way home, I called Junjun to tell him that we would pass by their house. But he, with Celeste and Boris, were on their way to QC to bring Boris to the Doctor because he fell in the bathroom, and had a cut on his foreheard. Anyway, it was not necessary for stitches, and went home right after. Boris is now fine but according to Junjun, he has black eye because of the fall.
Junjun told us to pick up the girls with their yaya from church. They were supposed to take a tricycle to go home, but according to Maddie, they could have hitched with their numerous friends living in their subdivision.
As soon as we entered their gate in Santa Rosa, Luke, their dog, got out and ran out to the street. Maddie got her bike and ran after him. Si Mia naman kept on shouting “Lukas, Lukas Mendoza”. Daddy drove the car and ran after Luke. Even the roving security guard ran after Luke. After much habulan, umuwi din si Lukas.
On March 25 will be the Handmaids 29th anniversary. I was again elected coordinator for the nth time. I guess I will always be identified with the Handmaids. It is my life in SHP. I owe the Handmaids a lot because, besides Daddy, the Handmaids made me the person that I am now.
Last May 5, with my Assumption classmates, we went to Santo Tomas, Batangas for the 70th birthday of our classmate, Patria Maloles-Dimayuga. She was the youngest in our class. She got married at age 21, widowed at age 32 with 7 children, the youngest was 2 years old. She never got married, and took care of all her 7 children, who are now all successful in their professions and have happy families. It was such a nice affair, all in native attire – 7 children, spouses and 19 grand children. They all prepared a program for their mama and
lola.
Last march 10, we were together again in Assumption because our classmate Judy Araneta-Roxas received a Most Outstanding Alumna Award for 2005 -2006. There was mass and dinner.
Tonette, I always go to your blog. I hope all of you do too.
I guess this is about all for now, Take care all of you, and don’t
forget to pray.
Love, Daddy and Mommy.
