Tammie, Toni, and Tia
Dear Daddy, mga anak at mga apo,
So Daddy nakasulat ka din. What did you not pindot that
you were able to send? Actually this is the second letter I
am sending today. While I was sendiong the first, biglang
nawala. I also made pindot I don’t know what, so nawala
din. Dad, parejo na lang tayo.
There is heat wave here in the US. It is 100’s in the West
Coast, in New York and other cities. Here they say 80’s is
the height of summer. But today it is going to be 90’s,
and this is pambihira. They are all complaining because of
the heat and humidity. Okay lang sa akin because sanay
tayo sa init and humidity.
Tammie is now in New York with her boyfriend Lee. They are
coming back tonight. They stayed in Howard’s apartment.
Adele said they might have slept in the kitchen because the
apartment is so small. They are coming back tonight. Lee
is staying up to Friday back to Modesto where he works. He
is 16 years old and in his last year in High School.
Tammie is turning 18 on August 15.
Toni and Tia are still on vacation. Toni goes to the barn
every so often. Last week she was there every day to join
the horse back camp. She joined the horse show and got
second place medals. It was the jumping and speed race she
joined. Her horse Paris is arriving next week from
Modesto. It will be shipped tomorrow. Toni is so excited
to have her own horse back.
Tia is so makulit, and many times pilosopa. When Adele
scolds her, she says – why can’t you let me be? Your are
crushing my heart. You are spoiling my life,ETC> ETC. I
am now doing her dress because she keeps on asking me when
I will do her wedding gown. I am doing it today, and
nakabantay sa akin, otherwise maghapon sa TV.
When Lee arrived last Friday, Tia and I stayed home because
it was going to be very late. They came home at 1:30 a.m.
because Lee’s flight arrived at 12:30. She slept becside
me. She said, Lola, please do not snore or else I am going
to transfer to my bed.
Chinky fitted her dress when she was here. Tia said, you
are the luckiest girl on earth because you are going to be
a bride. Chinky has to come back one more time to fit.
I had a small TV in my room which Joey installed before I
arrived. But when Chinky came, she had with her a big TV
which she replaced the small one. It was a TV which was
just in her closet. She said it was Howard who said to
bring it to Peterborough for me.
Howard, thanks for the TV.
It starts to get dark at 8 p.m. Every afternoon I go out,
sweep the yard, and walk up and down the hill from the
street to the house. I also do it in the morning kung
sipagin ako.
Celeste called me up last week. She said she wanted to
come when she knew that Chinky was coming for the week-end.
But considering where she is, it would be a long drive
from Rosa’s place.
She said she is always in the computer working on her
licence, and chats to Junjun and the kids daily. Good for
them.
I expect her to call again
O sigue, this will be all for now. Daddy kwento ka naman.
I have been calling you twice a week. That’s good enough.
Dyahe naman kay Joey and Adele.
O sigue this will be all for now. I am fine, keeping
myself busy. Sabi nga ni Tia, while I was emdroidering, -
that’s a lot of work you are doing, Lola!
Take care all of you and don’t forget to pray.
Love, Mommy
